Our Product Requirements
We are always striving to provide our customers with the best products at reasonable prices and of course the best customer service. Over the past nearly two decades we have offered for sale many products or brands of products that did not perform to our expected standards. For example a particular brand of flashlight may have lacked the reliability expectations. Some boots and shoes were returned on a routine basis because of the quality of either the material or the manufacturing process. One of the most extensive product lines with more quality problems has been clothing / uniforms. We have discontinued many product lines due to poor quality such as fading, poor workmanship, poor customer service and the list goes on. In the defense of the manufacturers that we have discontinued, they may have addressed their quality problems over time. So often we will obtain their product and complete our own testing to see if their product now provides the expectations we and our customers demand.

In some other cases we have found other manufacturers that provide a quality product that meets or exceeds our expectations at a better price for our customers. So we urge you to shop for a product and not just a name brand. It is often the most well-known brands that tend to allow their quality to slip, or provide poor customer service for the sake of the almighty dollar.

Our Platnium Customer Program
In November 2011 we began a trial program called the "Platnium Customer Program". This is an exclusive program for Police, Fire Fighters, EMT and Paramedics. Upon signing up and providing a copy of your Agency / Department Identification you will qualify for 10% off regluar price items. Does not include gift certificates, clearance or sale items, or products on a state or local agency contract / bid or services such as alterations. Can not be used in conjunction with any other discount. To remain a Platnium Customer you must:
1. Remain a member in good standing with a law enforcement agency, fire department / rescue squad (paid or volunteer).
2. Provide us with a valid email address and other information requested on the application form. Your information will never be shared with any other commercial enterprise.

Until our On-Line Store Program provides for discounts, all sales for this program must be in store or phone orders.

Our Restricted Items Policy
Effective April 1993
Dear Valued Customer,

From the very beginning I established store policies that prohibited the sale of many items to anyone other than Law Enforcement, Security, Fire and Rescue personnel.

Many of the items I sell require extensive training and supervision, and without such training, these items could cause harm and even death to the user or to the general public.

It is my responsibility as a retailer to protect the public from these dangers.

In Maryland and many other states it is also against the law for anyone who is not a police officer, fire fighter or rescue personnel to identify themselves as such.

Therefore the below list contains most items that are deemed restricted, and may only be purchased by qualified people or agencies.

• Ballistic Body Armor
• Handcuffs or any other restraining device
• Impact Weapons
• Training Material
• Chemical Weapons (over 2 ounces)
• Badges
• Emergency Lighting
• Rescue Equipment
• Clothing that identifies the wearer as a public servant.
• Training Equipment
• Any other item deemed a danger to possess without proper training and experience.

We cooperate 100% with all law enforcement agencies conducting a criminal investigation regarding the posession of restricted items.

We take great pride in our policy, and wish that more retailers would establish a policy as strict as ours.

If you choose not to buy from us, I urge you to demand the retailer of your choice to establish a policy such as this.

E. Our site uses a form for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect visitor's contact information (like their name and email address, and other personal information). Contact information from the order form is used to send information about their account and our company to our customers. The customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the Choice/Opt-Out section below.

F. Security: This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. If you suspect that your user ID/password, personally identifiable information or any other information you consider confidential has been lost, misplaced or misused you should email Our Webmaster immediately. We will then take steps to recover the data you lost or contact the proper authorities, in cases of identity theft.

G. Choice/Opt-Out: This site gives users the following options for removing their information from our database, to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service. Users must use the unsubscribe information provided in each email.

I. SPAM: We have ZERO tolerance for ANY SPAM. We will deal swiftly and harshly with those using any of our services to collect email addresses in order to send Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). We will never sell or transfer any information you provide us to any third party.

Return Policy
All applicable returns must be within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase. All returned items must be in original package and all tags still attached and in "new" condition. No return on worn garments/footwear, custom garments, special order garments or altered garments. No returns on socks or under garments to include Under Armour items. No return on electronic equipment. No return on close out / clearance items. Any and all warranties are those of the manufacturer and not Southern Police Supply, Inc. Any "comfort" warranty provided by the manufacturer should be addressed by the manufacturer. No return on shipping charges if applicable.
